Launch Operations Software Engineer II

Amazon Project Kuiper

November 2024 - Present

  • Created the launch operation procedures service — software procedures to prepare, maintain, and assess health of satellites from arrival at the launch facility until the go-no-go call at the time of launch. Hosted on AWS infrastructure, systematically built via CDK, dynamically deployed via CI/CD pipelines, with monitoring, logging, and automated alarming reliability systems
  • Scaling software processes to support the health and integrity of each satellite as we expand operations to support the deployment of a 3,236-satellite constellation between three launch locations
  • Founding member of the Launch Operations Software team. Grew the team from 2 to 7 members in 2025. Expanded scope from building and executing health checks for satellites to all software operations run at launch facilities

Software Development Engineer II

Amazon AGI

October 2023 - November 2024

  • Developed and supported infrastructure for multi-modal inference, pre-training data processing and management, and runtime operations, including continuous improvements, scaling for expanded regions and traffic, and cross-team customer support; deployed developmental models to production via containerized environments (EKS/ECS) for hosting and testing worldwide, enabling the release of Amazon Nova Models
  • Rolled out GPU and Neuron metric aggregation and monitoring microservice for visualizing AGI inference hardware utilization, tracking efficiency, and optimizing usage and cost for model interactions
  • Implemented full-stack service for visualizing complex multi-turn LLM interactions to assist scientists, testers, and engineers in development of LLM and AGI models. Also served as a demo tool to the Amazon S-Team

Software Development Engineer

Amazon Alexa

February 2022 - October 2023

  • Supported and scaled Alexa internal microservices systems enabling the development, optimization, and deployment of new Alexa models to devices worldwide

Software Development Engineer Intern

Amazon Alexa

Summer 2020 and 2021

  • 2021: Performed data migration of Alexa functionality data from legacy internal systems to AWS, utilizing S3 and DynamoDB for storage and accessing data through Elasticache and Lambda
  • 2020: Developed a microservice to manage configuration files for performance testing on Alexa models

// education

University of Florida

Computer Science and Electrical Engineering

Graduated December 2021

  • Osteosarcoma Protein Structure Prediction Research — applied and benchmarked AlphaFold2 to predict patient-specific protein structures across different species
  • HazardNet Activity Recognition Research for University Scholars Program — developed and refined a dataset to train activity recognition CNNs to detect hazardous behaviors
  • Teaching Assistant for Artificial Intelligence and Heuristics — collaborated with staff to redesign the course from exam-based to project-based
